Case Study: High Volume Corporate Headshots in Record Time for Woodgate & Clark Property Photography

Sometimes, the biggest challenge in photography isn’t the lighting or the location, it’s the clock! I recently had the absolute pleasure of working with the team at Woodgate & Clark. I was actually referred to them by another photographer who couldn’t make the date, and I’m so glad the stars aligned for this one.

They were hosting their end-of-year conference and staff party at the brilliant Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire. The brief was simple but demanding: they needed updated corporate headshots for everyone attending to refresh the company website and give the staff some great new profile pictures for LinkedIn and other social media.

The Challenge: The 100-Person Hour

When it comes to corporate events, keeping things running on schedule is everything. The main challenge here was sheer numbers. We had 100 people to photograph, and just over an hour to do it in, specifically, the short window between the staff arriving and the actual conference kicking off.

When you are dealing with high volume corporate headshots, the absolute priority is efficiency and ensuring the photography has minimal impact on the day’s events.

The Approach: A Seamless Workflow

To make sure we didn’t cause any bottlenecks, I arrived nice and early to get my mobile studio set up with a clean, simple backdrop and professional lighting. Before the doors opened, the client and I hammered out a bulletproof strategy.

We decided that as soon as staff arrived and signed in, they would be smoothly ushered straight into a waiting line for their photo. As they stepped up, I got them into position, made a few incredibly quick tweaks to posture or clothing, got them smiling, snapped the shots, and moved them right along to enjoy their morning tea/coffee. It was a proper well-oiled machine!

The Result: Maximum Efficiency, Zero Fuss

Thanks to our slick setup and great communication, it worked an absolute treat. We managed to capture high-quality, professional headshots of every single person in just over an hour, getting everyone into the conference hall just a couple of minutes late.

The feedback was fantastic, and the staff were well chuffed with their new photos. But the biggest compliment of all? The lovely woman who organised the shoot and brought me in was so happy with how seamlessly it went, she actually hired me to do the exact same thing when she moved to her next company!
